Dior Makeup is announcing that American actor Jenna Ortega is the brand’s newest ambassador. Working alongside Peter Philips, longtime creative and image director, she’ll continue to represent the brand on red carpets and beyond, bringing her signature edginess to Dior‘s modern vision of beauty.

“Jenna Ortega embodies the bold elegance of the House,” the brand said in a press statement. “It is a tailor-made role for this rising star who, through her values and her personality, is already inspiring an entire generation.”

Ortega is best known for playing Wednesday Addams in the Netflix series Wednesday, directed by legendary director Tim Burton, whom she worked with on the sequel to Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. A talent of many sorts, she’s also starring in a film with The Weeknd titled Hurry Up, Tomorrow and Klara and the Sun alongside Natalie Portman.

“The House of Dior symbolizes audacity, elegance and timelessness and being part of it is incredibly exciting and surreal,” Ortega said in a press statement. “The first time I wore lipstick, I must have been 10 or 11 years old and it was for work, because I started acting when I was so little. I was wearing my mom’s lipstick, we were just in the studio’s bathroom and she put it on me.”
