e.l.f. and Pinterest Are Making Virtual Color Analysis a Thing

No more guesswork.

Getting a personal color analysis just got a whole lot easier thanks to e.l.f. Cosmetics and Pinterest. The two joined forces to create “color e.lf.nalysis,” an immersive digital experience that matches you with your most flattering makeup shades. After snapping a selfie, the tool informs you of your color-season — so you can tailor your beauty looks to suit you better.

K-beauty color analyses recently went viral on TikTok for being an accurate way to assess the colors that complement you best — taking things like hair color, eye color and skin tone into account. Although color analyses are more popular than ever, there’s a major shortage of in-person options. Thankfully, e.l.f.’s new digital experience only requires a smartphone — making a personal color analysis more accessible than ever. Just like the brand’s budget-friendly products, this new tool is yet another way that e.l.f. is breaking down barriers in the beauty world.

Developed in collaboration with Pinterest and color experts, the “color e.lf.nalysis” is simple to use. All you need to do is snap a selfie — then, sit back while the tool analyzes your skin’s undertone, contrast and chroma to reveal your color season. After that, you’ll be given a custom board of e.l.f. products curated with your features in mind. From there, the experience encourages you to bring your ideas to life by experimenting with shades from your personal color palette.

To get your own personal color analysis, access the “color e.lf.nalysis” tool here.
