GANNI's 08 Sneaker Takes Inspiration from Ditte Refstrup's School Soccer Jersey
Landing in three, responsibly-designed colorways.
GANNI just announced its brand new 08 sneaker, taking inspiration from the teenage years of creative director Ditte Reffstrup, whose beloved soccer jersey featured the number 08. Leaning into the brand’s signature design details with a sporty twist, the new silhouette is crafted from a mixture of innovative and responsible materials, in line with GANNI’s sustainable ethos.
Designed with butterfly-shaped, raw-edge layering, the shoe boasts dual laces, stitched soles and a frill-edge collar design, nodding to GANNI’s signature blouse collars. Landing in three colorways, the beige iteration is crafted from a canvas fabric featuring Tex2Tex, which is a recycled fibre made from polyester and yarn waste. The shoe also features HyphaLite, which is a synthetic material alternative, made from blending discarded oyster mushroom powder with natural fibres.
Elsewhere, the offering includes a blue denim version, which is crafted from GOTS-certified organic cotton, and a yellow, mixed-material style.
Take a look at the new GANNI 08 sneaker collection above, landing online and in stores on June 18.
